Join the Blue Water Doula Collective for a meaningful and practical Grief Literacy Workshop facilitated by Christopher Johnson, grief educator and experienced group facilitator.
Grief touches every community, yet many of us feel unsure about what to say, what to do, or how to simply be present when someone is experiencing loss. This workshop is designed to help us become more comfortable, compassionate, and confident in supporting others through grief.
At the heart of Christopher’s approach is a simple but powerful message:
“Grief Is Not a Problem to Solve.”
During this 90 minute workshop, we’ll explore:
Common grief reactions and myths about grief
What to say—and what not to say—to someone who is grieving
Helpful and unhelpful communication
How to offer meaningful presence and support
Peer and community support
Self-care when supporting others through loss
Practical tools for supporting individuals and families experiencing grief
