Step into the sacred work of companioning others through dying, death, and grief. The Sacred Death Doula Training Certificate & Retreat combines comprehensive education with an immersive weekend of hands-on learning, reflection, and renewal in the peaceful natural setting of GilChrist Retreat Center.

Participants will complete 20 hours of online pre-training prior to gathering at GilChrist, building a strong foundation in the role and scope of the end-of-life doula, the dying process, communication, planning, grief, vigil support, rituals, and holistic approaches to end-of-life care.

During our three-day retreat, we move from learning into practice through realistic simulations, case scenarios, guided application, sacred practices, group connection, and opportunities to develop confidence in supporting individuals and families at end of life. Time is intentionally woven throughout the weekend for self-care, reflection, nature, and tending to the caregiver within.

This training is designed for those who feel called to end-of-life doula work as well as caregivers, healthcare professionals, holistic practitioners, and others seeking to deepen their understanding of conscious and compassionate end-of-life care.
